Paint.NET

I've never had much luck with Gimp on Win32. If you are like me, you want something with more functionality than MS Paint but you don't want to pay for it. Take a look at Paint.NET. It's free and the source is available under the MIT license.

Yep. Thanks for point it out, I've fixed it. Firefox really has me spoiled, I'm so used to leaving the http:/// off.

What luck have you not had?

I just recently installed GIMP on Win32 and haven't done much with it yet. What exactly haven't you had luck with and is it with GIMP in general or specifically Win32? Inquiring minds want to know.

It installs just fine. I'm not great at getting around in Gimp to begin with but I get by with simple tasks. I think most of my problem is that I expect Windows programs to look and act a certain way and when they don't (like is the case with Gimp) then I get frustrated and lose interest sooner.
